Student Selectives are part of the 3rd Phase of the Medical School curriculum. The Web-Based projects, like their non-web counterparts, are usually based in the areas of education, research or community health and consist of curriculum tools, tutorials or outreach web sites. Many students use this opportunity to develop a specific expertise, or to explore an area of particular interest.
These projects have helped UCHC students obtain placement in their desired residency program, and the web work produced by the students is often incorporated into the curriculum and community, becoming a highly visible piece for their CVs.
