Stacy White, Jr. MSIV
Dear Students, I am a 4th-year medical student at the University Of Connecticut School Of Medicine studying the effectiveness of an educational tutorial as part of my 4th-year selective project. The principal investigator for this study is: Dr. Harold Moskowitz. The title of the study is Radiologically appropriate decisions: a case-based assessment of student education utilizing the Appropriateness Criteria® (RADCASE-AC).¯
My primary objective is to determine the efficacy and usefulness of an online, interactive case-based tutorial in teaching students about the American College of Radiology's Appropriateness Criteria®. Data will be collected via 2, 12-item assessments taken before and after the tutorial, respectively. All data will be collected electronically and will remain anonymous.
You are invited to participate in this study on a voluntary basis. While complete assessments/survey will provide better data, you may skip questions that you do not feel comfortable answering. Your participation, including the total time to complete the tutorial and answer assessment/survey questions, should take no more than 45-60 minutes.Accessing the tutorial and assessments signifies your consent to participate in the study. The results of this study will have no influence on your academic standing. I appreciate your participation in this educational study. For any questions regarding the study, please E-mail me at email@example.com or call 203-565-9815.
