The South Park Inn Medical Clinic is a financially independent, student-run organization that has the dual mission of medical student education and service to the homeless population of Hartford.

The primary goal of the clinic is to provide medical attention to the residents of South Park Inn on a walk-in basis, while providing an opportunity for medical students to become familiar with the special needs of a homeless population. The control and primary staffing of the clinic is the responsibility of the medical students at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. The clinic is operated only with a licensed physician present, thus assuring quality health care is provided. The clinic is equipped to diagnose and treat minor medical and psychiatric problems and will refer appropriately to area hospitals and other services.
