Resident
Education is an ongoing project of the South Park Inn Medical
Clinic. By placing this information online, including lesson
plans and local resources, we hope to strengthen the program
and encourage more people to volunteer.
Specific
future plans include:
- To
increase our database of lesson plans and local resources
and further refine the ones that we have available.
- To
conduct more education sessions at the South Park Inn shelter
since there is a high resident turn-around and many will
not be exposed to important topics.
- To
test the efficacy of our health education program.
- To
expand our health topic discussions to other local shelters
in the greater Hartford area.
- To
encourage other medical-oriented groups or individuals to
utilize this website and provide health education sessions
in other areas. By expanding participation
in health education, we hope to improve the health and well-being
of highly susceptible groups.
